Hi everyone

 

Well it's Sunday nite and I have just checked my emails and talked to my sister on MSN Messenger for the first time. Yep she is back on line and says that she is determined to learn how to use the computer.

 

I answered a couple of emails that she had sent yesterday and managed to get her on audio on Messenger. I think it went pretty smoothly. I sent her the link for the Harmony Lane blog and explained to her how to bookmark it in her favourites.

 

She said that she wants to buy a webcam for her daughter Patti and her family.

 

She has just returned from Saskatoon where she visited her son John's family. Her granddaughter Carlie uses MSN Messenger all the time so she (Irene) got to see it in action there.

 

Kinda sounds like we are gradually becoming an MSN Messenger family.

 

He world is getting smaller eh.

ps I gotta check the pantry I know it's late but I'm starvin. Maybe there is some cheese and crackers to tide me over till morning. Oh yeah maybe a banana and yogurt along with a cup of tea.

 

Gotta be something there. Guess I will go see...

hey Gary :

 

have you loooked into skype, you have to download program to your computer and call for free through your computer, my sister is big into skype when they had gone to India on vacation, she would call from India for free every day, though we have resisted so far, still can't get used to fact talking to computer

 

hope you found something in ur pantry

Yeah I have found Skype. But I have not used it as yet. Haven't found anyone else that uses it so far.

 

I have MSN Messenger set up and talk to other survivors that way. A number of survivors have MSN Messenger set up and are equipped for audio. Gunther, Frank and Wendy, are some that talk often.

 

Basically just like talking on the phone (only more natural) You can surf and talk at the same time.
