Oh, my aching tummy! Ate too much!
Belch, belch, - excuse me - I ATE TOO MUCH! We went to the buffet as planned and although it was early, they were already jammed. I ate myself silly. When we got home, I did the wrong thing- went to bed and fell asleep. The wrong thing to do.Had a Pepsi, probably should have had a gingerale with a squirt of lemon (works wonders) and am ready for another Pepsi now. Everyone is sleeping- the cats. the dog, even my sister. I
ve got about 1-1/2 hours before Jay Leno and sleep.
Had some sad excitement at the buffet. I looked up and thought the men standing in gray golf shirts who seemed to have gunholders over a shoulder were policemen but then they turned and I saw the rubber gloves and EVAC on the back of their shirts. There were 4 of them. A very large woman apparently had an attack of some type. I feel it was a heart attack or perhaps a stroke. She was quite elderly and didn't look in very good conditioned. After they managed to get her on a stretcher (using a back board, it looked), they wheeled her out and they spent quite a while in the abulance stabilizing her, I guess. They did not start an IV or give her oxygen in the restaurant, perhaps because some diners had to move so they could work - or maybe it didn't matter. She looked quite pale. Don't know if she was with someone or alone. Was surprised there were four EMT's rather than 2 - one to be with her and the second who then does the driving. Of course my last ride was a transfer, so maybe that makes a difference. When the hospital finally called and after they came, the transfer was smooth. One with me (handsome - I wasn't too sick to notice that) and wearing a white shirt - not the tee shirt with collar golf shirt type shirt - and the driver - a big dude. They had made the arrangement and when we arrived at the big hospital there was no stopping at ER just straight to a private room since they were anticipating surgery I suppose. Later they took another cat scan and found the bleed hadn't started again (which was why I was sent there). Mother Nature or fate was good to me. I was really blessed.
I've been thinking about her and hope she is ok. What an even worse experience it must have been for her with so many gauking people,.....
