The day after..........

It's now 12:19 am on my computer and therefore officially the day after.......and in about 10-12 hours, I'll be looking for some cards for next year. I know they will be cheaper in about 7-10 days at Target but also the ones I like may be gone. I used to love working there because I was always there for holidays after and got the good picks - ah well.

Christmas was interesting starting with my singing Happy Birthday to my chi. She really was born on 12/25 according to her "birth certificate"; it was not her adoption day, hence her middle name "Noel". We took our walk and then after breakfast and "getting ready" we started to open the many gifts we received. (By the way, getting ready was a box to put our things in so we could transfer them to right areas, a note pad and pencil to remind us who to thank for what and a black garbage bag to put the throwable gift wrappings away while keeping anything that can be recycled like nice boxes, bows etc.) Well, I guess in the eyes of everyone, we are both old. LOL! Of course this is true but it was quite obvious by the gifts we received, "food like cheese, crackers, wine and candy which can quickly be consumed and beauty products to make us feel younger and also be used quickly. Of course, I'm fussy about things like that- soap if fine but creams and lotions and skin this and body that are not my bag. Great stuff for guest bathroooms for guests to use. I do think though that receiveing a chihuahua calendar gives me another year so that was great and something I love.

By the way, my dog loves her pet massager so I guess I'm won't be allowed to use it full time since she wouldn't......ah well, nothing like a surprise.

I guess us older folk are a pain to buy for. Ray was surprised to get a set of towels (I think they were meant for me) but appreciated a DVD of old comedy movies.

Packing away all but the decorations today, they come down on 6th January (Twelfth Night) in our household, if they haven't fallen down by then LOL.

Ask for what you want next year, give out the list and see how your nearest and dearest react to that.

Sue.
