HostAsha Posted March 14, 2006 hey AJ: great list, with so many positives in your life, don't you wonder sometime why we still complain. when I started blogging, I had also made list of 10 things my stroke gave me. I could go on with positives things my stroke gave me it completly outweigh negative points. I am glad you are taking on this exercises it's great way towards acceptance, those are few things which I did helped me a lot It made me see myself in whole new light. Asha Quote Link to comment
jriva Posted March 14, 2006 Asha and AJ, You two have hit on the one of the hardest things for some people post-stroke to see.....it's the old "the glass is half full" rather than the glass being half empty way of looking at life that was hotly debated on the message board a year back in several threads. In my opinion, those of us who have looked at life this way pre-stroke (counting our blessings, so to speak) have an easier time with the whole acceptance part of post-stroke life. Guest Posted March 14, 2006 Hi AJ, I think I'd like an appointment, not to find the positives in my life but to discuss all the positives in my life post stroke.
