I got excited when I saw the title of your blog. I love toads and miss having them around our new house in the quantity the way I had at my old house. I put a toad house by my front door here and actually had on living inside the summer before last. Didn't see him last summer but he could have been there and I just not catch him at home.

This summer I want to find some frog to import over here for my mini bog. I love the sound of frogs.

Thanks for the humor. You may not have thought what you wrote was humorous, but my thinking made it so.

I got to thinking about sending a toad through the mail. Poor thing. Then I remember the story that was in the news a few months ago about the cat in Wisconsin that some how hitched a ride to France. Fortunately she had tags and was found by animal lovers. She enjoyed a ride home first class.

Sorry we don't have toads or I just might try to send you one.

What good do toads do around the house? I like Jean's idea of a little house for them. We used to have a few frogs & 1 salamander- somehow they move on.

Toads eat insects. We have a night light in our doorbell that attacks insects at night so our toad house is near by. Supper. I'd rather have a toad around to eat the insects than the spiders that like to nest by night lights.
