Pillsbury Dough Boy

I better stop this or I'm not going to fit any of my clothes. For some reason the last week or so I just can't stop eating. I haven't started a new medicine so that is not the reason. I literally eat all day until my stomach sticks out and hurts. Last night my wife bought two bags of chocolate chip cookies, the soft kind, by 10 AM today I had eaten both bags. I even eat when I'm not hungry. In fact it seems like my will power is less when I'm the fullest. I'll be so full I feel like I'm going to throw up and I'll go get a half dozen cookies or if we don't have those a bag of microwave popcorn or even baking chocolate. What's up with this????

Maybe it is time to get all of those unhealthy items out of the house( throw them in the garbage), buy something like celery or carrots to snack on, it may be tough but set your mind to it and do it( refuse to fail) :Tantrum:

God Bless,

AJ,

Your really need to see a doctor and have your sugar tested. I was doing the same thing you are now and I found out my sugar was high enough to be considered a diabetic. I haven't had a stroke and I was the last person on the face of the earth who I thought would have high sugar because my entire life it was always too low. I've since lowered my sugar and no more food cravings.

If you sugar turns out to be normal, you need to think about treating the depression/boredom/anxiety that is making you eat impulsively.

i agree with Mom. you need to see a doctor and have not only your fasting sugar tested but your hemoglobin A1C, a 5 hour glucose tolerance test, a complete physical, and a complete lab workup. if nothing medical pans out, you need to see a psychiatrist for an evaluation to see why you're eating compulsively.

Wow you guys really think this could be something other than just being hungry? It isn't that I'm worried. The big problem is that you agree with my wonderful loving wife. I've been saying that it isn't anything but of course with the events of the last many months she is honed in on recognizing things that should be looked at.

Well that should teach me a good lesson. Never never deviate from the husbands first rule of married life....

The only time a husband is right is when he is admitting he is wrong! :roflmao:

Hi AJ I agree time to go see the Dr. and get some labs done...

Make sure you are up front with him and tell him that you will eat until you are almost sick.. Since this only started a few weeks ago.. it is a definate change and needs to be looked into.

AJ,

Better to be safe that sorry. We were told that undiagnosed diabetes was a contributing factor in my husband's stroke. If your blood tests turn out fine at least you have the comfort of having one less thing to worrry about.
