Gardener drop-out

I think I may drop out of this whole growing veggies thing.

It was fun to plan and begin. My pepper plant died (I over trimmed it) My Tomato plants are not full grown, and are turning red. The little stake in the plant I bought said they were full size Tomato's. It may be due to not quite a 5 gallon container I have them in. I had such "high-Spring Hopes." Reality sinks in and it is way easier and cost effective to just go to a farmers market.

I am sure next Spring I will be bitten by the garden bug, and go through this same old song & dance.

Earlier this morning, I saw a man selling Tomato's in his front yard for 50 cents a pound. I pulled over on the side of the road and bought some from him. He seemed so peaceful, just sitting in his front yard under a shade tree with his scale and Tomato's.

Amy,

Welcome to the world of gardening post stroke. You've got the right idea..."theres always next year!" I never had much luck growing veggies, I'd be all gung ho at first, then it wouyld wither away and I'd forget to water and harvest so after a few years of that I didn't bother.
