Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday! This was a great weekend for me - ,ajor progress in terms of communicating with my dear husband fin-depth for the first time since the stroke. He listened while everything poured out and didn't try to fix it or calm me down - and I was really mad! It has helped me to calm down quite a bit though - not getting as frustrated at every little thing.

We also went and did something fun - like we used to before the stroke - we went to a movie: "Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest" It was pretty good - definately sets you up for the third movie though :big_grin:

AAANNNNDDDDD - I don't know if it is really appropriarte to say here but I am sooooo glad that I don't care - We've been able to be intimate again :Clap-Hands: I feel much better about myself and life in general :blush:

Weird how that happens, eh? Course I think it mattered a little bit more to me because we are still "technically" newlyweds - married 10/29/05 - so this is a big deal to get back.Working on the communication is a big deal too because we haven't had the luxury of being together for many years before all this life-changing stuff happened. I think we are doing rather well despite all of this - he still tells me I'm beautiful (even though I had to cut my long hair off - I feel icky about that), and he still pats me on the butt when he goes by :dribble: LOL

Well. more later, we are going to go to the gym
