How Do You Say "Happy Thanksgiving" in German?

I've been off for a couple weeks since I got back from Peru. Started to wonder if I still had a job. But the call came. Gotta go to Frankfurt on Wed. Surprise!! I saw that coming a long way off.

Have all the food set up, shopping is done, stuff is ready to go. Kids will be home with Sam. My parents are stopping by on their way back from the Grand Canyon. No problem.

I hope I get to watch football over there, not "futboll". Should be a few places to get a beer in Germany! Been to this place enough that I know a few folks, so it should be pretty good. I'd rather be home, but this will be OK. Thankful that I have a job in this industry. Quite a few of my friends on the street looking to get back in.

Bitte ein Bit!!!

Frohlich Erntedankfest. I don't know if this is even close, but I found these words on line on a dictionary site. My parents were German, but I never learned the language. I know just enough to know that these words possibly express what you are trying to say.

Have a good time in Frankfort. :happydance:

Happy Thanksgiving, you may be celebrating with wurst & *beep* or Weinerschnitzel but know your friends and family will be thinking of you also. I'm sure they'll save you some traditional food for when you get home.
