Just rambling

When I got up this morning I was feeling a bit melancholy.. maybe remembering Christmas's past and the decorating, etc.

Well about 11 am my daughter and son in law stopped by unexpectedly. He was on his way to his mom's house to help her, my daughter stayed here. We got decorations up and it is quite cheerful and cozy.... It went up fast with me handing her items and fun working on it together like when she lived at home.

The wind picked up 25 mph with gusts 35 to 50 mph. it is actually quite warm out, we got a little rain, but this wind is quite nasty. We have 2 more storms headed our way. The power blinked out a couple times, but came right back on. We have had so much rain, wnd, snow. I am a little unsure of some of the trees being stable. A couple came down last week.. but luckily they didn't hit anything.

Well I am sitting here enjoying the lights and decorations, while John watches football.

All the dogs are snuggled with us.

We started getting smaller... table top trees, one of our males thought how nice we were one Christmas to bring him in a tree so he didn't have to go in the rain...lol. He kept giving me rather confused looks as I yelled NO when he lifted his leg....lol

When ever someone asks me why we don't have a Christmas tree up I always say, "Well, we have a male dog...." It really is hard for them to understand inside trees, isn't it. :D

Glad you're daughter stopped to help you with your melancholy.

Bonnie, your blog reminded me of what my dear mother said about males in reference to dogs long, long time ago while we were sitting around the gas heater trying to get our pj's warm so we could run jump in a cold bed.

Our father hadn't made it home (late nite) and my mom said, "That's a man for you," "just like a dog"..."If he can't eat it or *beep* it, he *beep* on it." I could hear your dog say, "wow, a tree in the house, no more trips outside for me."
