Well Monday morning I started out a bit sad thinking of past christmases and all the decorating, etc.

I decided to drag out some decorations and start. My daughter showed up unexpectedly in the middle of me dragging boxes. :Clap-Hands: :big_grin: So she strung the lights around the family room and within in a few hours it was looking pretty festive.

We decided to go Christmas shopping Wednesday.. I do some shopping on my own, but really didn't wan to go in larger stores with crowds on my own. We had a great day, found some good deals. I got pretty tired and had to take a break and sit a few minutes a few times.

Well storm watch today, rainy and yucky.. sure glad we did the shopping yesterday. The worst wind is supposed to be tonight between midnight and 4 am. We ave had a few pretty good gusts. The power flickred a couple times. We are in land and the winds are not supposed to be quite as strong as on the coast.

We had over 15 inches of rain in November, the Sunday after Thanksgiving over 10 inches of snow.. so the ground is saturated and with the last wind we had 3 trees come down on the property. Luckily they were not close to anything.

Winds tonight are supposed to have gusts up to 90 mph on the coastal areas and 65 or so in land.

Tomorrow I am staying home, I will start wrapping gifts.. Maybe I can get a couple batches of cookies done next week.

A friend sent me some recipes and there are a couple I would love to do. Also making dessert for Christmas eve dinner at my stepsons. would love to have a plate of cookies and fudge to take along.

The week started out kind of anxious.. and with my sweetie daughter it ended up great. :friends:
