Caregiver needs care too Entry posted by RLT June 5, 2007 481 views Share
 Followers 0 I am a caregiver. Come to think of it, I don
swilkinson Posted June 5, 2007 Ruth, I went back and read a lot of your posts and it seems to me you are a very competent woman. While sometimes that is little comfort when you want to be taken care of it is also a thing to be proud of. A woman who can look after her man, turn her hand to a lot of skills like renovations, painting etc and still think of herself last and others first is a mighty strong woman! Your "knight in shining armour" may have left that role when he had the stroke but he is still the lovely, loving man you married. Just as I know for me Ray is still my one and only. Now it is our turn to be the strong ones for a while. Remember you are not alone in this, there are a lot of us out here, we may be isolated by distance but we are brought close by a common need - to be understood. Welcome to the blog society, hope you find release in putting down your thoughts, longings, dreams etc. Sue. :chat: Quote Link to comment
lady k Posted June 6, 2007  If I could make it better I would and it sounds like your knight would also. now his armor has rusted shut and unfortunately you will have to oil him up. god bless you and all the caregivers. I hope you are able to get some time to pamper yourslf. :dribble: Quote Link to comment
