Thunder snow
Last night we had some thundersnow (a thunderstorm with snow rather than rain). It is a bit unusual, I have lived in Denver almost 14 years and this is only the second time I saw it.
I was going through some of my old photographs and I found some pictures I thought I lost. One set was of a trip I took to Washington DC back in1984, while I was in the Air Force. It was my first trip to DC and it was a 'business' trip I took with a guy named Dan. That guy was the most vain person I had ever met. He could not pass a mirror without looking at himself. I have one picture where we stopped at Arlington. It was a rather windy day, but before we got out of the car he had to make sure his hair was properly quaffed. I think Carley Simon wrote a song about him. It was an interesting trip, I have only been back one other time, a couple of years later, once again while in the AF, but that time I went to the super secret NPIC.
I also found some pictures of my time at Offutt AFB. One set was of an air show with a F-117 Stealth fighter, a B-1, a SR-71 and an U-2 now called a TR-1). I also found some shots of the time the Space Shuttle (atop a modified 747) stopped by on it's way back to Florida.
I also found some pictures of my last trip to where I grew up in South Texas back in 1986.
