dstraugh Posted February 13, 2009 Wes, Loved your 20 things you have learned post stroke. I have a 21. for you - stroke survival is for a reason, not as a punishment. Quote Link to comment
Mema Posted February 13, 2009 Very insightful list. Now how about a "100 things about myself list"? Several of us have completed one and it helps us get to know each other better. Vi Quote Link to comment

harriet rankin Posted February 13, 2009 I think you're quite remarkable. I think if I were in Deb's shoes right now I'd be feeling pretty darn good. And I'm in total agreement about itty bitty successes. We're still eating the elephant one bite at a time. We got Sondra's yard back to normal all the way back to her shed- had to take down two beautiful pecan trees and remove several big limbs from a third. The back forty can wait. Started our own yard today and got five hours in on it. Hard, hard work! But one section's finished! You keep working and so will I. Love you!! Quote Link to comment

stessie Posted February 14, 2009 Wesley No. 17 hit me. With your permission, I think I'll start using this daily for myself. Both you and Deb are fortunate to have found one another. How did you meet? It's such a love story we'd enjoy having you share with fellow survivors and caregivers. Stessie Quote Link to comment
naomih Posted February 14, 2009 I really liked your twenty things you have learned post stroke list! Great insights and everyone of them a true! Matter of fact, that same list applies to so many other situations in life too! Yes! Debbie is great for you but she is blessed to have you too! I feel tremendously blessed to have you for my son and it thrills me to know the two of you share a relationship like your Dad and I had! I sure do miss him and at the same time am so glad he isn't having to deal with all this clean up we are involved in since the ice storm! Love you! Quote Link to comment
