Too Tired and Beat

Wesley H.

Oh Boy, am I tired today. The kid across the street had a birthday party this afternoon and we were all over there. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and had cake. I just got home and I'm totally worn out. Therefore this entry will be short so I can go to bed.

I see that my daughter in San Francisco has joined this site so she can keep tabs on dear ol' Dad! Today has been a day where I am a bit angry about what happned to me. The batroom sink has a drip in the drain and I am not able to fix it. so Deb is trying to take care of it. I got down on the floor to look at it and had a hard time getting back up.

That's enough for today ... I'm so tired.

Sorry, I didn't get to talk with you this evening! I came home from church and had more company. Guess it is a good thing I didn't interup your early bedtime! I sure understand that being tired feeling!

I can imagine how you must have felt about the drip in the bathroom sink! Hopefully you have a neighbor or someone that can help you with it, if Debbie can't do it! Glad Lizzie has joined in the group too! I was sharing your news from yesterday's bike ride with the people at church and they were all really happy for you too! I keep them posted on your progress since many of them have prayed for you daily since your stroke! I have posted it on facebook and on myspace too! Until later...

Love you

Mom

hey Wes:

I am sorry about your not able to get up from floor, those kind of disappointments are part of life but remember so much you can still do & keep trying till it becomes easier & another accomplishment under your belt

Wes,

I can understand your frustration about the sink. I was always able to work at "fixing" things on my own (I was always too independent for my own good).

Now even if one of my cats is experiencing hairball difficulties, I inwardly hope it's in an area I can get to for any needed clean up.

These little bumps in the recovery road are part of our lives now. Recovery includes asking for help (and even gulping and swallowing our pride).

For me, when I can accomplish a "feat" on my own, it is a glorious feeling. Look at what all you ARE able to do versus what you cannot and rejoice in the accomplishments.

But on the plus side--- at least you did get back up. That's gotta beat sleeping on the floor.

As hard as you've been working lately and after all you've been accomplishing you deserved an early bedtime. Accomplishments can be quite fatiguing, you know.

How'd the drip thing end up?
