HostAsha Posted February 22, 2010 hey Leah: I totaly believe things eventually all worked out in your favor even at times it feels painful to deal with it. your new car sounds very cool, I like the color already. I will pray that your pain goes away quickly. I love Marie's advice too. I have decided to write letter of my worries to Universe & will stop worrying about those things cause I know God will take care of my problems and worries. Asha Quote Link to comment
fking Posted February 23, 2010 Sounds like some things happen for the better sometimes, huh? You're too young to hurt, the PT should help, plus walk as much as you can, I tell you that helps me. If your doctor gives it to you, try a vicodin for your pain with a sip of coffee or apple juice. While you're reading that book, work your foot, leg then stand up and try to exercise your hip by bending or twist it a little side to side. If you got a step or stairs, put your foot on side that's hurting up one step and stretch twice a day, while holding onto the railing. Quote Link to comment

It is not only painfull it is also depressing because what I can do is limited even more. I try to give my negative thoughts to God. I have my first PT on Thurs. I know the therapist; I worked with her when I first had my stroke. I hope to get the MRI results today and I am hopeful PT and exercise with help. Thanks for the apple juice idea. I find that if my legs are elevated it helps the pain so I am going to settle in with some good books in the recliner and coffee & apple juice + a percocet every 4 hours. My husband made me a sandwich before he left the house. I'll keep you all posted on this problem and hopefully can help someone else too. Should I also put this situation in one of the stroke forums? I get confused; I know the forums reach different people. Thx again to all.
