Woke up to a panic attack 1.5 hours after falling asleep. This seems to happen about every day. Unfortunately today I woke up like this almost every hour in a panic. That is unusual. I was very active yesterday and ate a large meal right before bed which may have contributed to this restless sleep. It would feel like I had slept all night and I would look at the clock and it would have only been an hour. Ugh.

I am very tired today because of the inconsistent sleep last night but so far I haven't felt that bad. I have been up for 7 hours and I took a 10 minute nap.

It is hot outside today, I spent about 45 minutes in the sun today which shows improvement. At first I could not tolerate any sun on my head. I did feel very dizzy afterwards though. I wish I could go swimming but I could not.

I do pray that your panic attacks pass. Getting such fractured sleep is not good. I hope that you are given a good nights sleep soon.

I am glad to hear that you were able to enjoy the sun today.

I do wish that you could have made it swimming. It is the best therapy for stroke.

Thanks, I am thinking you are right. Swimming seems like it would be very healthy if I take it easy.

I plan to tackle the problems with my sleep when I can get some medical direction, possibly a sleep clinic. I would be very interested to see what my brainwaves are doing when a panic attack wakes me every morning and possibly why. I have had insomnia issues most of my life. I believe lack of sleep is slowly killing me and all the doctors have done (mostly) is to throw antidepressants at me and shrug their shoulders. I have medical records showing that I have had a concern to these chronic sleep issues since 1996. Although, I have had these problems for much longer.

The stroke has amplified these sleep issue, probably by adding fear and stress. Just what I needed huh?
