New to blogging

Sorry guys. I have posted and chatted and now trying to blog. I took Larry to his PCP yesterday for a follow up. His blood pressure was good but his cholesterol was up a little. Since he has the risk factor of the stroke the doctor said he should start taking cholesterol meds. I told him "welcome to my world". The hospital where the doctor is on staff now has an internet connection patients can access. I can get Larry's appointments, medical test results, and even send an E-Mail to his doctor. Whoopee. I hate trying to get to him through his staff. This week we go to his surgeon for another ultra sound of the carotid. Hope it remains the same! Nice weather here last week but can't get Larry to venture outside, even on patio. Oh well. Hope I did this right.

Julie you did great. Wow even doctors are connected now. Lets hope he reads his emails regularly. Too bad Larry wont even sit on the patio. We are down to last few days of nice weather before the winter. Then its cabin fever time until next spring. I hope he will change his mind and venture out, even for a little while it does the soul good. All the best,

Julie, explain to Larry that you need some time in sunlight to strengthen your bones. Strong bones means you get more weight bearing ability and that makes the most progress come out of you exercises. Make sure you get out in the sun too, not necessarily at high noon but 10am or 4pm if you can for half an hour a day.

Welcome to the world of blogging. You will create something here that you can use as a gauge, for Larry's progress and for your moods swings...lol. I know as a caregiver I can be sweet and happy, tired and cranky all in the one day...lol.

I hope you have a good time expressing your feelings here and feel support as others comment on your blog.

Thanks McDube and Sue for your replies. I get more answers here than from the doctors! I'm going to do a new post on the caregiver site so you can weigh in if you choose.
