Founder and Owner smallory Posted July 17, 2006 Founder and Owner Share Posted July 17, 2006 Reprinted from e-mail that I received the other day. Steve ---------------- July 15, 2006 Dear CAMR Friends, The vote on the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act, H.R. 810, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in the United States Senate! Be sure to visit our website for breaking news and updates at www.camradvocacy.org. Our breaking news section will include an audio file of a CAMR radio spot featuring Michael J. Fox that will air over the weekend urging everyone to contact their Senators to support H.R. 810. We need a full court press on the entire Senate to get this bill passed. We can only do that with your help and we know you have what it takes to bring us to victory. Make it your goal today and this weekend to tell at least 5 friends and family members about the vote and help them call their Senators. This bill and this vote should be the first thing you mention when you talk to your neighbors, join your friends on the golf course, or visit with family. Please call the Senate with this message and have your friends and family do the same:

stonewall
I have no problem whatsoever with Embryonic Stem Cell research and therapy. Research in this arena will progress all over the world with or without the U.S. even tho it is difficult to say to what ends the research will one day be applied it is going on and will continue. The sciences have carried mankind forward throughout history so I can only assume stem cell wil be no different. By the way, has anyone heard any thing more from Rich? Perhaps when he arrives home. jriva
. Stonewall, If you click on 'blogs' up above, you can find Rich's blog. He's going to keep us all informed on his progress in this way. His last entry was on the 23rd, done a few hours before he left for SCTI. Look for rj711's blog once you're on the blog community list page. Guest lwisman
If I remember correctly, Rich said it was a five day treatment and would begin on Monday the 24th. I suspect he does not have internet access while in Kiev. So I would not expect to hear anything until next week.
Peter_COO_SCTI
Hello All, Peter from SCTI, I got a chance to travel to Orlando when Rich was having his Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and meet with him. Great guy and we had a very pleasant afternoon discussing many topics. Rich left for Kiev on Sunday July 23rd and I got a phone call early in the morning on the 24th that he was met at the airport by the clinic staff and was already at the clinic getting settled in. Rich will undergo a full examination and tests by the treating physicians in Kiev just to make sure that his current condition was accurately reflected in the medical information Rich had to provide for us to evaluate his viability as a candidate for stem cell transplantation. He will remain at the clinic until July 28th and he then plans to stay at a hotel in Kiev to do some sightseeing. He is scheduled to return to NY late on July 30th. I am sure after some rest he will be in touch to describe his treatment experience. I hope he goes into detailed information about the condition of the clinic and the doctors and staff as well as the transplantation therapy. We are very proud of our facilities and accomplishments. Thank you all for your interest and support for Rich. I know he really appreciates it. Regards, Peter@scticorp.com
stonewall
Yes Peter, I received an e-mail from Rich just before he left. I just had to wish him well one last time. I am curious if Botox injections for spasticity interfere with stem cell therapy. Also, is it possible that after therapy the limb which has been inactive might experience pain. Equally important, is there notable effect regarding aphasia.
Peter_COO_SCTI
Hello from Peter, I am in a remote part of Mexico until next week, limited access to internet, no cell, limited phone service as well. I will address your questions with our Advisors next week. Thanks for your patience. peter at scticorp.com
