A Nice Weekend!
It was a great long weekend for my family overall. The stag party went off without a hitch and I stayed in control the whole time. I was home and in bed by 9:30 p.m. But, had a great time anyway.
I spent most of Sun. and Mon. with Lisa at Bayshore. What a difference a month makes. When I think back to a month ago, I can't remember what Lisa was like. She has improved so much since returning to Duluth. Her attitude, her emotions, her smile makes me want to spend all my time with her. She is truly my hero.
But, than reality sets in. I know I can not be there all the time. I now also have a household to run and two young adults to take care of. I need to go grocery shopping. I need to clean house. I need to call the insurance company. Oh, I'm not depressed. Quite the contrary. I haven't been this happy for a while. Things are starting to fall into place. Lisa has her fundraiser this Sun. and we have been looking forward to it. She is very excited about being able to attend. We have had nothing to do with the planning or organizing of the benefit, so we don't know what to expect. I'm sure grateful to our family and friends for helping to take care of us.
Myself, I did get to play golf twice this past weekend. It is the best way for me to get away from everything. I have always been a golfer and now a pretty good one. I don't get to practice as much as I did, but that's OK. I have something much more important to do.
Thanks, Butch
