If you remember to save the draft every paragraph at least you do not lose it all. There is also Autosave which works every (?) minutes so if you return to the page it may have autosaved and you can re-activate it from there. If you click on the autosave message it will tell you that the content is saved if you have to reload the page, click on that and you should get your message back. I am not a technical person but at least by saving the blog in draft it will always be there, up to the point at which you have saved it anyway.

It could have been a blog black hole. One I wrote and SAW on here all night long, disappeared by the next morning, never to return, and I re-wrote it.
