Day15 08.17.14 sunday lazy

Hello all,

day15, a sunday that was, couldn't see my grandma as I climbed a mountain with my mates and then had brunch.

Mom and dad were there with my grandma whom I spoke on the phone for 5 mins, they said she was more alive, more up and open, and that she was trying to say somthing and then was tired. My dad said "your grandma will get better, I can feel it, she seemed like she was going to say smthg, she tried so hard for nearly 10 times in 20mins and she couldn't, but she wanted to speak, that's for sure".

The nurse will start working tomorrow (well today, day16, 08.18.14 monday), and thankfully mom will have some time off tonight, as she wants to organise her own house, socialize a bit maybe, dunno.

I still have not finished reading the pdf caretaker's manual(UK version) yet, I will finish that today and make some notes.

As many of you had mentioned, my grandma's looks, her way of gazing through the house, and the window, might be the urge inside to walk around her own house and to be able to move much more...we must make her stand up, or sit down on her bed...but we have to teach her to hold her head still, she's like a baby when we try and remove the pillow under her head, her head needs to be supported.

The nurse might have much more experience that we have, we might have a lot to learn from her. Hope she takes good care of my grandma from now on, she's going to be a member of our family somehow...welcome new nurse, don't even know her name =(.

Anyway, another week of hope, another week of sunshine and may you all be healthy and happy out there!

Cheers,

Cagin

Bob had standing by the bed, for just a few seconds, some days before he ever started trying to walk.   The legs get so weak in bed, they need to learn to have weight on them again.

Please that you had a good day, some times we have to step back, and get a "Me time".   Like  Sandy said, the legs need to learn to have weight on them again. It took a while for me to learn to walk and not depend on the cane.

Keep us posted
