recovery from a stroke, can be a very slow, process, however never give up. on getting more movement. it will happen. but a lot of times when it does happen, you are not aware, but it will get easy for you. you may find that you can do more while you dress, or even while showering , or even in your thinking, maybe things will get more clearly for you, or even maybe you find that life is a lot more enjoyable, recovery can be very slow, and almost imperseptable, but it is happening. if you write it down for instance what I can"t do since . but what I can do now. live for the moment, the one thing that you have going for you. is you have been given a second chance, you have survive a stroke" wow!!!!a lot of people can't, say thatbut you can. I know that I have been in recovery for 11years now , and I am still finding more changes even now, after all this time, and I am talking, about movement and even more. like relationships and family, how I communicate , and just how I feel , so yes I do have more movement , now, but I also have more enjoyment , in life and in happiness , just be happy with ahat you can do and if you do find that you are getting, more movement, or even more recovery, thencelibrate you deserve it, if you need to laugh, then laugh. if you feel the urge to write to let you know just how far you have come, then by all means write it down, let your family know just how munch you appreciate just how munch you appreciateyou are a winner her or him and your caregiver, its all about being happy with what you have and just how you deal with it, you are a stroke surviver, you have done it, and I know that you can do even more, you are strong, and you are a winner. I want nothing but the very, best for you. so enjoy your day, and celibrate life, and celibrate movements. but most of all enjoy your life.

Thanks so much for sharing this and wow lets celebrate your 11 years! I need to be reminded to celebrate those small victories when suddenly I am doing something a little bit better because I whine alot about what I still can't do.My motivation comes from my unhappiness with how it is today so I keep doing and going and it is all about getting better and gaining more.

I hope someday I can boast of being a 11 yr survivor no matter what.

I like your attitude so thanks so much for sharing this. And I hope you just continue on enjoying your wonderful life. And you are so right that we all have survived and we have a second chance. I really need to focus on that fact and it is helps me not dwell on such losses but to keep in mind I almost missed today anyway.

Lenny, we do not have an icecream icon here that I can find but if we did I would certainly give you an icecream every time you published a blog.  I love your style of writing.  It is as if thoughts tumble out of your head onto the page.  I just love that.

For everyone else, this is a comment on a comment Lenny made to me on my Facebook page.  Thanks Lenny for your support and encouragement on my journey..
