Have you seen the August 22, 2005 Newsweek special edition, The Future of Medicine? I haven't read it yet but there is an article in that issue about cutting edge treatments for depression. Think it mentions an implant?

i get angry( stay that way for days at a time), depressed, frustrated, and the like. some people handle it diffently than others. at least you have the guts to say it like it is instead of laughing it away like i do, and THAT i admire in YOU. it takes a strong person to admit they are sometimes weak. you are a good guy clark, and i like you, depressed, or not.

do you believe in God, any God, hindu, mulim or christian, I also had depression for awhile but leaving all on God, help me fight my depression, I used to worry about what will be my future like, abd stuff now I just leave on God to take care of me, I will do my karma and let God worry about fruits of my labour

THE DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY PUT ME ON PAXIL BEFORE EVALUATING MY MOODS. NOW I'VE ALWAYS BEEN UPBEAT, WITH JUST A FEW PERIODS OF DEPRESSION WHICH I SEEM TO BE ABLE TO OVERCOME. MAYBE THE RIGHT MEDICATION WOULD HELP. I'D LIKE TO WEAN MYSELF OFF THE MEDICATION, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT EFFECT IT WOULD HAVE.

I WAS FORCED INTO RETIREMENT LONG BEFORE I WANTED TO BE. THAT WAS A TOUGH PILL TO SWALLOW, BUT I FOUND MANY NEW AVENUES TO KEEP ME OCCUPIED. MY FAMILY WON'T LET ME BE DEPRESSED, SO I WON'T BE.

LOOK FOR THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE. IT'S OUT THERE.
