Peace and quiet! Ah so nice

It's difficult for me to get up and out early. Having this second stroke and medication have made me worse than I was. I just can't seem to "get the lead out" before noon. biggrin2.gif Yesterday though was a special day. I had to meet with the gal who would be arranging for all the subcontractors to prepare my lot for my manufactured home. She even gets the permits. I'm sure the cocts will be passed on from the dealership but you need someone who knows the ropes. All I have to do is call the electric company and get set up in their system.

Anyway, I left at about 8:30 and drove the 25 miles to the lot. As I turned onto my street from the main dividing street of the area, I saw 2 large dogs. I knew that there were large dogs that roamed out there that I had seen when I was looking and also from newspaper articles, but never had seen any before on Hickory. Actually, because of the unknown, my chihuahua will be pretty housebound. Snakes and other "creatures" are a way of life, I guess, when you live rural. It was a beautiful day and I parked and got out of the car. Perfect silence except for a few chirping birds. No traffic, no people until the people across the street started some sort of conversation (maybe neighbors talking) but not anything that would be continual. It was just what the Dr. would order for me. In fact, it was quieter than a cemetery. laugh.gif From trying to watch tv in bed to rest the weary bones and have the neighbors about 7 feet away with their windows open and probably no carpeting to soften the sound to this - pure heaven.
