Hibiscus blooms

Lately we here in the northeast have had a solid week of rain, dark, cold and wet days. I even put my heat on. Amoung other events that happened, I wasn't my happy go lucky self, kind of bummed I've been.....

I woke up this morning and my Hibiscus is blooming! It bloomed wonderfully all summer, soon as I brought it in, the buds dropped off. I thought no more blooms tilll next spring when I put it back outside. So what a wonderful surprise I got when I walked into the room and the bloom is dead center on the front of the tree. How did I miss seeing a bud? It must be coincidence that it is blooming smack dab in the front of the tree, but it gave me a good jolt. Then I smelled the coffee start to brew. UUUUUMMMMMMM, the smell of fresh brewed coffee first thing in the morning..... then I walked overr to the stereo and put on Green Day's newest CD and cranked it cause my neighbor had just left for work. Can't beat the beat(noise Peter?) of American Idiot. To be honest I was hoping to listen to Eva Cassidy's version of "What a wonderful world. Big difference in what I put on. No matter. The rain has stopped, the sun is shining and I can be positive yet again. I didn't even touch a drop of Sangria either Bill! Ha! I did relax yesterday and watched some Julia Roberts movies.

Yup, oh what a wonderful world

i LIKE your new attitude, Sister Pam! focus on yourself, and f**k 'em and the horse they rode in on. bop.gif

my cats would probably eat that hibiscus before it ever flowered...i envy your ability to have cats and palts in the same house.

p.s. the bread machine was delivered to my office instead of my home. i found it sitting in a box at the top of the stairs yesterday when i went to work. i brought it home and, as soon i unpack it, it wuill have a place of honor in my kitchen.
