We've got a Peep-and Tom..

My hubby found out yesterday(by a neighbor), that we have a Peep -and Tom on our street, who has been prowling around at night looking in windows. And the same neighbors had a man expose himself to her.!

I need to go get the info from the source. It does kinda freak me out a little. No more leaving windows open at night when hubby is gone!

Yucky..I don't feel safe anymore, and we live in a low crime area.

Amy,

Peeping Tom's really can be scary. In my life, I've experienced having them twice living in two different places. In most cases, they say, Peeping Tom's don't do anything beyond look.

Make sure you don't talk to your neighbors about your fears or your pattern of only closing the blinds when your husband is gone. Sometimes the neighbor who is doing the peeping gets off on the fear that you express and that will keep him coming back....to hear the feedback later on the grapevine.

I could be wrong, but my thoughts would be to contact the police, make them aware so there is a record of complaints on file. In some cities they are documented like sex offenders. The more complaints, they can take actions.

Sorta like the neighbor watch program, if we see the same car, we get the plate number, time of day/night, then if/when a house is affected, that person had to verify his/her location on that day. It works here.

Scared never caught a thing! THIS WHAT I WOULD DO; but I may be more gutsy than some;

I'd speak with an investigator at the police dept near you - GO THERE if you have to., tell therm the situation & ask that they sit out front & lay for this guy., THEN

I's have ny blinds open, have a few lady friends over, turn on some music so he'll hear it...& when he is lured to your front window - the cops wilol get him cold!

I speak from experience, but after I put the cops on notice, one night as Mr Peeper was coming up on our lawn , my husband - who worked nights but came home to catch this idiot - called out " that's far enough...turn around & get off my property "... he did this as he pulled the hammer back on his Colt 45 - an unmistakeable sound, and believe me the Peeper backed up...right into the cops that had arrived!

People like that thrive on your being scared! Call your police dept & DEMAND that they do something!

As I said; I'm not good at layin' down & rolling over...also you might learn some defensive judo moves or ladies self protection course - can't think of the names of these classes. If you are a stroke survivor or caregiver - all the more reason for the cops to help you!

Good luck & eat Wheaties!!!!
