I am excited about our plans too. We are going to my mom's this year (last two Thanksgivings were either at inlaws or my Dad's) and she makes the best food ever. Can't wait to grub on her cornbread stuffing. No one else's EVER has compaired!

We have nothing like Thanksgiving in Australia. The first settlers were convicts, soldiers and the original inhabitants who got rapidly decimated. The next wave were free settlers and political refugees then other migrants. In the 1850's the gold rush brought people from all over the world.

Our holidays are Australia Day, Anzac Day which falls close to Easter, Queens Birthday weekend, Labour Day weekend, Christmas, Boxing Day. Family celebrations are birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day.

we have always vegatarian, its nothing to do with being healthy or anything the way we were brought up, but I m envious of activity and food you r going to have this thanksgiving, have lot of fun, its that time of year where you meet friends and family and have great food and company. though take a long walk in the morning
