Awkward situation...

I know everyone gets into an awkward situation everynow and then, but, I did accidently in my own house!

Here's the situation. I met a mom in my kiddo's classroom, who kindly asks if I will take her kiddo to daisy scouts with my kiddo. Not a problem......

I invited her over today to show here my home, and where her kiddo would be staying until she gets off of work. Got her verbal permission for her to jump on our trampoline ,any allergies, etc.

WEll, here is the kicker, the mother of the child was once my husband's significant other ,if you know what I mean!! My husband made the connection, and approached her if she used to "Lifeguard", etc. She pretended not to remember him, or truly didn't. They only dated for 2 weeks, then she broke up with him. giggle.gif It was just weird, b/c I was like OMG, he's been intimate with her. It doesn't change the fact, that I am going to be caregiver of her kiddo once a week. Just a weird situation, I shouldn't be jealous. I'm just shocked.

Ray and I bumped into old girlfriends of his sometimes, I was good friends with the sister of one of them and didn't know.

I guess all you can do is smile and be gracious. And try not to be jealous if you are going to be seeing a lot of her and her kiddo.

Like Asha I always enjoy your blogs about family.

Amy, just smile and give her the charm, after all she has a husband and you have yours....

(must not have been much connection if it only lasted 2 weeks)

I had a friend with an older daughter.... Found out not to long after dating John, he had been dating the daughter for a few months...

I thought it might be kind of awkward but it worked out. Bonnie

Amy,

Yeah, it is an awkward situstion. But it is the past, water under the bridge. Not a thing you can do to change it.

Besides look at it this way, no one is untouched and virginal in this world. Any past experiences help towards knowledge of what they know how to do and you benefit.

maybe that's y life is so wonderful, and we don't know God's plans for us. we just have to flow with life and trust God that he will make it all worthwhile, we just do our karmas right.
