Good afternoon

 

Well I made it. Sunday Dec 4th and that means that I have managed to live one more year. The odometer has turned up another 40,000 k eh. (kilometers in Canada eh)

 

Well maybe that is a bit of a streech. LOL

 

I do a lot of walking these days, watch my diet as best as I can and keep the stress level as low as possible.

 

In my mind it feels like I just turned 20 but the bod says that it is only willing to do so much.

 

A little bit then...rest... a little bit then...rest....

 

I guess I had better be thankfull for small mercies. Just the fact that I am alive and able to see another year roll up is something to be thankful for.

 

Another thing that is kewl is meeting others that have had this same life altering experience called Stroke.

 

Thank you all so much for being there and sharing your friendship, your experience, your encouragement and your humor.

 

There is a time to laugh, a time to cry and a time to skip about.

 

THANK YOU ONE AND ALL!

After such a wonderful year and many new friends, let me wish you a happy new year.

 

Happy Boxing Day, Hanukkah Kwanzaa, I think in Canada, Australia and New Zeland. I lost memory with my stroke. I used to know all the holidays for most countries and the Jewish celebrations as well. Forgive me if I got it way wrong. mellow.gif

Eh Gary, What flavor cake and ice cream is there? Have been trying to go to Harmony Lane but I've been falling asleep by the time I get here.

 

I was ready to start playing the violin, LOL. (No, of course I don't play. Only lasted a few weeks in lessons. Got tired of having my elbow always shoved down. LOL My Dad was a professional violinist which helped with his scholarship to college and also gave him enough to buy a home when he married.)

 

Anyway, glad you got your oil change and you'll be good for another 40000 K. They tell me you're due back 12/4/06 and have put the sticker on your personal windshield.

Congratulations Gary!!! on making it to another birthday. Aren't birthdays grand. A few years ago a friend introduced me to the concept of a Birthday Season. He pointed out that one could just as easily have been born a little earlier or a little later, so you might as well have a season rather than just a day.

 

Glad it was a good one.

Well as usual I am a day late and of course a dollar short. Story of my life. Hope you had a great day whether it was a birthday or Stroke anniversary.
