since i am once again extremely busy and somewhat overwhelmed with my life, i just want to list the things that have happened since i was last on the board on Saturday:

1) my wedding anniversary came and went on 12/10. i am married for three years. in a few months i will have been married to John for more of the time with a TBI than without. this isn't fair! anyway, we had a good anniversary. we went out to eat, and bought 3 new pc games for a mere $20;

2) i discovered that John misloaded my HP 7410 all-in-one (fax, print, copy, scan), causing a massive paper jam (more than 20 pages) and breaking my printer. The printer now prints only one page at a time of a document. HP is giving me a new machine, but since it's backordered (it's a very popular all-in-one) i won't get it until January. At least it still faxes and copies and, after a fashion, prints. this happend on Sunday;

3) i discovered that John filled a garbage pail in the basement with used paper towels, used surgical gloves, a cat toy, two unopened Lean Cuisines, and my headband with the lighted devil's horns. John doesn't remember doing this. this happened on Monday;

4) i ordered a pair of pants and a jacket for my dad from Lands' End. my mom did not know my dad's pants length but my dad did. however, his voice is very slurred, and i mistook a 'one' (for 31") to a 'yes' to 32". i realized it after i had ordered the pants and apologized to my dad. he agonized the whole day about his pants being too long and didn't calm down until my mom promised to rehem the pants if they are too long after she washes them. turning the pants up simply wouldn't do. the fact that he is in a wheelchair and does not stand doesn't matter. my dad was always a sharp dresser and his pants have to be a certain length;

5) my left knee (the one that was injured in my car crash) hurt so severely on Tuesday (the first day that it got really cold)that i could barely walk down the stairs. this is after working out four days last week. i'm glad that medical science has found a new way to perform knee relacement surgery, because i really think that someday i am going to have to get a new knee;

6) i am workoing very hard. this is my 'busy season', and i also have a few Court cases.

john has responded to these (and other) incidents of weird behavior by becoming nasty and verbally abusive, than getting upset and saying he's sorry.

my dad has responded to me telling him that i am not coming over on saiturday (last) because it's my anniversary by telling me that i should ditch John and come and see him and if i don't he doesn't want to talk to me.

john and my dad have become sworn enemies and constantly put each other down. john used to not take my dad seriously but, since the accident, and especially since his TBI diagnosis, he acts just like an almost 65 year old man who has had two major strokes and is aphasuc, paralyzed, and fed with a feeding tube.

BTW, i just re-read my discharge dx from when i stroked from the discharge paper. it said that i sustained a left-sided ischemic CVA (stroke) with right hemiparesis and expressive aphasia. i am talking and moving normally, so i guess that i have to count my miracles.

i'm thinking of ditching both (John and my dad) of them, permanently.
