I don't blog very often.. I guess I just don't have a lot to say.. I do come here for support on bad days or times.

I could grumble about the county making us plant 800 trees .. we unfortunately thought we were doing something good for our property but was a NO NO.. there was a swampy area in front.. just blue clay guck and water ... you could sink up to your knees. nothing would really grow except black berry bushes and skunk cabbage.. very beautiful to look at (not) so we cleaned it out and now it is a little pond the water runs freely through it and back to another swamp which we didn't touch. In our pond we have ducks fly in and more birds, our goose likes it too... but we have done a BAD thing and now have to reforest it.. :angry2:

Actually I could understand this if the land we bought was pristine land... what we bought was 5 acres that had been logged off yrs ago and stumps left grown over with black berry bushes. and stump piles with more black berry bushes...

so we have been to the forestry plant sale and have been purchasing the required plants.. Western Hemlock,

Red Cedar, Fir etc, these are all little bare root plants so hopefully they will grow slow.. or I will be in the middle of a forest.. I did buy some plants for landscaping and a few noble pine and blue spruce.. well I should be able to have a few trees I like too... and we have another cleared area maybe we can start a little christmas tree farm.

My daughter and grandson(bless their hearts) spent Saturday planting all the pines (185 of them) into little pots for us... until we can get them in the ground.. have 4 areas designated to re plant.

now onto the next plant sale Saturday so we can purchase snowberry, nootka rose and sword fern...

I have blow up the planting area in grids so we can lay out the plants.. we have a paper that tells us how many of each plant has to be in each area.

:happydance: :happydance: Well Now The Great News

For a "whim" i went onto classmates.com they had a 7 day free trial offer.

I found a very close friend from high school in Ohio. I was back 17 years ago and 4 of us got together for dinner. we had always kept in contact with each other.

Well life has a way of going on and I went through a difficult divorce.. we lost contact with each other.

She has been looking for me for over 3 years.. we are now chatting on the phone and she is on Yahoo..

we are catching up and are so Happy we found each other again.

Bonnie,

Congrats for getting into contact with your old friend! I am happy for you. Do you think when you are finished planting trees, you could come to my yard and plant some? <_<
