Mum is doing much better, they have down graded it to a TIA, as her speech was almost back to normal last night. They still need to do a scan but I think the urgency has passed. She is on a conary care unit as she has a very irregular heart beat, so they are treating that. That is probably what caused the intial stroke.

So panic over. My GP doesnt see any reason for me not to travel, but family dont want me too....I think they are worried they will have to end up looking after me as well. :hahaha:

So I think as long as Mum continues to improve I will wait for the 6 weeks, which is only 4 weeks now. I will probably be more use then than now.

I feel totally exhausted today.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. :friends: :friends:

I have been given the ok to go back to work on Monday, I will just have to remember to take it easy, particularly when I get home.

hey Mary:

I am so happy for your Mum, I think you should take it easy and travel after 4 weeks. In the crisis mode there are lot of other people there to help your mom, but when things quiet down, you can spend quality time with your mom, it will work out great

I can say my belief is "God does answer prayers" He knows our needs and what he has for our lives. Even long before we ask it of him.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :secret:

So Great to hear the good news and glad you can travel in 4 weeks. You will both be better for a visit then.

Yes remember to take care of yourself First on your job and when you get home.. Goal = recovery to go see mom

Best wishes to you and your family
