Hammin' it up
My sister in law, bless her heart, was on vacation in Missouri. Sometime last week they toured Burgers' Smokehouse, and she decided to send us a ham.
Not any ham mind you, a 9 pound spiral sliced city half ham. :yikes: It was far too big to fit in my refridgerator freezer so, I had to cook it. And I had to remove the middle rack in the oven to fit it in there.
We had ham for dinner, ham and eggs for breakfast, ham sandwiches for lunch. I've got ham and scalloped potatoes in the oven and I'm feeding the office lunch tomorrow. There's a huge pot of navy bean with ham soup on the stove, and I've spent the last hour on foodnetwork.com trying to figure out what to do with the leftovers.
I don't even like ham all that much. I don't know what she was thinking.
Anyone want a ham sandwich?
