Well not really but we did a lot of birthday celebrating yesterday. Of course we celebrated the birth of this great and wonderful country as we always do. However, it worked out that we also celebrated the birthdays of both our kids to. Our daughter is 22 and our son is 20. WOW and you know what. We are so proud of them both. They each have their different lives and styles and couldn't be more opposite but I just love being around them, hearing about their lives. They both do so well they hardly even need help or advice from me anymore.

My son just got back from Mexico. He brought us a beautiful picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe which he bought at the shrine in Mexico City. I think it will become a family heirloom we pass down. Our daughter just got back from a camping and rafting trip. Of course the party was too hectic to talk a lot about it but I can hardly wait to hear the details. White water rafting is one of the things I've never done and I'm excited to see how she liked it.

Awesome Chick is off this week so we are trying to do a few recreational things. First right now though we are going to go for a bike ride to see if we can work off the extra large portions of birthday cake and ice cream I was serving last night. That was not so bad, the real danger is the cake that is still left just sitting on the oven top ready for me to eat it so it can add to my already prominent belly.
