the road to kiev!!!!

greetings from orlando...i'm down here going for my twice daily 02 therapy...i have only positive things to say about central florida hyperbarics located at 5423 lake howell rd in winter park...the entire staff is well qualified, professional, and accomodating in every way...and it's affordable by any standard...i'm a supporter of the science behind this therapy to help restore brain function...my treatment will end sometime next week...i'll report more about my experience with it at that time...thusfar i am enjoying it very much...

my big news is that i will leave for kiev on sunday, july 23 to receive fetal stem cell therapy thru scti,inc!!!!....i received the good news regarding the final nod yesterday (my birthday btw...) from peter sidorenko, the COO of scti...i made the flight arrangements asap...non-stop from jfk in new york to kiev...i'll arrive monday morning around 11:10 am...the clinic people will meet my friend sally and i at the airport and my understanding is that the first day will be spent being tested/examined by the doctors there to assess my condition to their satisfaction and come up with a treatment/dose protocol...i intend to blog everything that happens to me over there...i'm trying to find out more info about whether stem cells pass thru the blood brain barrier....from the little i could gather it seems as tho they are able to...my concern is that if they cannot how will they get to the damaged areas of my brain where they are most needed unless they give me a sub-dural injection as well as the iv and im ones....they do this type of injection based on their evaluation of the individual patient...i know there is risk involved with such an injection however i want to be as informed as i possibly can be and included in on the decisions as i am a chiropractor with medical training/background...i've decided to stay over there two extra days to try and get some sightseeing in as possible as well as a taste of the culture...please mail me with any comments/questions you may have regarding this exciting adventure...i'd love to hear from you...my best, rich

Congrats RJ wow what a B day present! Wishing you all the best. and looking forward to your therapy and results as well as some photos from your sight seeing.

You are probably waaay more informed than the rest of us. I thought the injections were subdural. and from what i have read or gathered they make a soultion of the cells with a solution that is indivulized for each patient for optimal results.

Rich,

It would be great if people asked you questions in your blog comments here instead of privately. Then we could all benefit from the answers you give.....just my opinion. Good luck and travel safely tis weekend.

RICH, WHAT WONDERFUL NEWS. AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

I AM VERY INTERESTED IN STEM CELL FOR MY PARTNER WHO HAD A STROKE 3 YEARS AGO. KEITH HAS PARALYSIS OF RIGHT LIMBS AND UNABLE TO SPEAK BUT VERY FEW WORDS. I DO KNOW KNOW IF HE COULD BE A CANDIDATE FOR STEM CELL THERAPY BUT I WISH TO MAKE INQUIRIES.

I hope you don't get this twice. It wouldn't let me get it thru the other post of yours. We went to Dr. Perlmutter in Naples for the HBOT. Same thing here. Doctors said it wouldn't work. It did help so much. I wish you the best. Trudy Weichers
