Phyllis4732 Posted June 22, 2007 :happydance: Yes, I'm dancing! Another fudge nut. What a buy! I loved your blog. There is NOTHING like the beach. The ocean is THE place. Rivers, lakes and streams are better than nothing, but the ocean with it's boardwalks - wow! You did have a wonderful day; I'm very happy for you and the guy who "needed" a new tee-shirt. Sometimes just doing something on a whim without the planning is best. Phyllis Quote Link to comment

RLT Posted June 23, 2007 If you are planning on going to the beach, I just learned something new. Our beaches have beach wheelchairs. They loan them out free on a first come first serve basis. The big baloon wheels make it so you can push them across the sand and right to the water. I am going to try them out the next time we go which I hope is soon - the fudge is going fast!! Deenie Posted June 26, 2007 glad you are getting back to your old life.. It's fun to get back to all the old haunts and try to relive the past.. We too are attempting to get back on the road and enjoy some of the beautiful areas we have here... We travelled extensively before the stroke five years ago..right across Canada and a good part to the USA.. camping a lot of the time...How I miss it and all the peace of mind, as hubby could fix anything or figure out where to get it done now that's part of my job... July 1st. hope to go to the lake and hang out with the kids.. but it is two hrs away so we will be kind of drained when we get home..no more beach bunnies here....not like my grand children,, I tease them I'm going bring some fabric from home so they can cover up as their swim suits are quite skimpy.. and they just laugh..Oh Grandma... should have fun... l_klakring Posted June 26, 2007 I loved reading your blog. I could absolutely feel the warmth of the rays on my body and the soothing background sound of the waves running up the beach. There is nothing like breathing in the sea air and that, too, I smelled as I read your blog. I feel almost as though I were at the beach, too. Ice cream and fudge on the beach. Delectable treats. YUM! Take Care. LK Quote Link to comment
RLT Posted June 26, 2007 I am pleased to note all the fudge fans we have here! Chocolate is the answer to some of life's biggest challenges!! Dennie, I am glad that you are going camping. There is something cleansing about getting out or our routine and reuniting with family and nature. My husband has requested that we go to the New Jersey beaches now. Now that I have learned it does not have to be a stressed hassle I am hoping to fit it in soon. I also thought maybe it would be interesting to check out Atlantic City. I have not been there since all the casinos but I figure it only takes one arm to play slots. Right?!! Quote Link to comment
