Another new project

I am always starting new projects in order to stimulate the ole noggin' (and hopefully help my drain bamage from my stroke). My latest project involves Google Earth. Those unfamiliar with Google Earth, it is a free download that offers satellite imagery of anywhere on the globe. All you need to do is type in any address in the US or Canada and it will take you directly to that address. I am currently located everywhere I have lived. When I am finished, I will be able to take a simulated trip to every place I ever lived. It is almost as if you are in a rocket ship as it goes from address to address. The overseas address requires a little more research. Since this is what I did in the Air Force, to me it's fun. It has also helped me somewhat in therapy, it helped with spacial perception.

Also, this could lead to future employment. Many TV stations are using Google Earth, or similar programs in news coverage, unfortunately (fortunately for me) there are some very subtle ways to make the image look natural. And really only a professional can do that. I always see these images on TV and it just irritates me. It just doesn't look right to me.

So, I am hoping.

Doug,

I have Google Earth and I can find where all my relatives live. It is fascinating. I have visited the Hollywood sign, the Golden Gate Bridge, Mount Rushmore, the World Trade Center site, to name a few. I wish I knew how to tweak it the way you do.
