Well I thought I would write about my strange birthday surprise. On the 5th of April I turned 41. Thankful to be able to spend it at home with my family and friends. But my surprise wasn't something I had hoped or wished for in fact it wasn't expected at all.

I had to have an emergency appendectomy.

What a surprise I didn't have a clue as to why I was so under the weather because I didn't have that much pain unless I stood up. But my girlfriend insisted I go to the ER and I was told I was in dire straights. And had to have an operation right away. I said the darndest thing to the Dr. I said get out of here!!

I can't have appendicitis Its my birthday in 2 days!!!!

He said yes you can and you do so surprise your appendix wants to burst on your birthday

I had to say yes of course, you can't keep a bad appendix and live to tell about it so off I was carted to the OR and had it out.

Luckily I was able to have the scope surgery and made it home in time for my party.

Thank goodness you can only have that surprise once!!!!!

I'm on the mend and went to chat this week and also posted another poem. Now that I'm feeling better I will be able to blog more.
