Surgery complete, bread making ends

Well my surgery on the right shoulder (good side) is complete. The rotator cuff tear has been repaired, other junk removed. I am in a sling and will be for several weeks. I feel good now, just bored not being able to do what I want to. Sitting around watching TV and reading is not my thing.

Attached are some pic's of Lesley baking bread and us selling it at the local market. We have stopped that for the season since I can't help anymore and the tourists have mostly left town, making things quiet around here.

Now that the basement is finished, we have rented part of it to a single lady. Hopefully it will help pay for some of the cost of finishing it.

Just a serious note, my gut tells me we as a country are in for some very rough economic times. I strongly encourage all of you to do whatever you can to reduce debt, avoid major purchases, tighten the belt. It is not something either party has a clue about how to fix, prepare for the worst. Hope I am wrong. Good luck to all.

thanks for sharing the photos.. yummy fresh bread.. have you thought of selling it on the internet? I have heard of quite a few people starting out, and send pies, cakes, cookies, etc all over.

That may require some type of food handlers liscense, etc.

I had rotator cuff surgery .. on my left shoulder many years ago,, had a bone spur removed. Do what the Dr's say.. and be very persistent with your PT.. but I remember you were a real GO getter after stroke..

yes we are back to "use it up , wear it out.. make do"

Wow, thanks for the pics of Lesly and the breadmaking. It makes my mouth water just looking at it. I wish I was closer and could drop in an order for some.

Be patient with yourself while you heal. It is a time to sit in the shade and pat the dogs and daydream about the fishing aheadof you. Nothing is forever so just enjoy each day as it come.

If a recession does come heaven help us all.

Sue.

George,

My my YES the bread looks sooooo yummy. Thanks for posting the pics of the goodies and Leslie.

As tough as it is for you to sit and care for yourself, yo need to do so as you heal from the surgery. Don't want any setbacks.

Sure looks as if a recession is on the way.
