happydance.gif So excited to celebrate my 1 year anniv as a Brain Stem Stroke Survivor!! Exactly one year ago today on what started out to be a wonderful day ended in near fatality. What an amazing journey this year has been with so much I can't even begin to talk about it all. Today I stand strong, I celebrate this day and all of the ups, downs, happy, sad, angry, dissappointed, painful, wrong, right and every other single moment that lead to today! I am happy to say I have beat the odds & I will carry on, I am living my life as the new normal!!

Good for you, you have passed one of the hardest parts of stroke, accepting a new normal.

It will keep improving with your positive attitude.

The work on recovering never stops only improves your ability to accomplish your

goals.

hi livinglifeasnewnormal :

congratulation on your first anniversary. you have great positive attitude. so things are going to become better and better as time goes on. I found in my stroke journey first 2 years were hardest to accept my newnormal. once you accept that. rest of the journey becomes easier.

enjoy each & every day to fullest.

The first year is definitely the most difficult. Look at how far you have come and how much more you can accomplish. You could not have expressed the first year better...best description I have ever heard.

Your attitude will take you even further. Congratulations.

Boy is that true Jeannie! Accepting the new normal was harder than the physical pain of the stroke!

I love your comment!
