Hyperbaric Treatments

Recommended Posts

Hi Fred

I would like to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!

We have a five week combined Conductive Education class coming up on January 5th 2009. We still have limited spaces available for this session and we are also offering a 15% discount which brings the Canadian price down from $ 9,056 to $ 7,698

For those of you from the United States the US dollar has recently gained strength on the Canadian dollar which would now give you a considerable savings on the price of the course on top of the discounted price $7,698 CDN = $ 6,416 US.

These prices in Canadian or US dollars are far below most other Hyperbaric facilities for the time in the chamber alone. We have been very successful at helping people make improvements even years after their stroke and this is a chance to try it for yourself at a very low rate.

If you are even considering trying Hyperbarics or finding additional therapy I urge you to shop around and see if you can find a better place to receive help.

These are total prices including tax and as always we do provide free accommodations during your stay.

The longer you are inactive the weaker your body gets and we have seen over and over again that it is possible to change that downwards spiral and to start to make improvement. We cannot perform miracles but the more input and practice that we put in now, and build basic skills, the more chance you have to put those skills to use and continue to develop.

If you have been feeling overwhelmed or you feel that you could be doing something more then this may be exactly what you have been looking for.

I really hope that you may be able to make this upcoming session.

If this would be of interest please let me know as soon as possible, since we have a very limited number of spots available and time is closing very quickly.

Sincerely,

Kevin Hickling,

Thought I'd share this info in the event anyone was still interested. The price is out of my budget range and I need the treatments without a doubt.

Fred: I have read this and I totally feel it is a gimmick for people to spend their hard earned money for a solution for either themselves or a loved one --a hope for a cure . It's a gimmick as stated it is very expensive and I would think if it was on the up and up, then why haven't I seen it on television, on the radio talking about it, The Discovery Channel, etc. I would think if it is what they say it is, why hasn't it been on sixty minutes, or OPRAH, DR. PHIL, or even discussed more in the medical community? I was in one of the best well known hospitals for my By-pass and Brain Stem Stroke... If it could have helped me, then why wasn't it mentioned to my husband? In my situation I would think it would have been. It sounds too easy to be true and when it is all done and said, they only thing the poor people will have left is no money in their bank to pay bills as from what I have read on your post, the money charged is astronomical and insurance won't cover it as it is experimental.

I don't mean to sound like a negative person, however, it is what it is. Iwould hope and pray if anyone here is thinking they might try it, please, please, check into it and respond with your findings. I don't want to take away anyone's dreams or hopes. I just don't want to see anyone get wrapped up in a gimmick. Should you try it and it does work, I will be the first one on this group to congratulate you and say way to go.

Jan,

You know there are or were members here who tried the ones in Florida and in California but for the most part was not satisfied with the results they reported. This treatment was for divers who suffered brain injuries in deep sea diving incidents long time ago then got popular with stroke patients recovery but the price kept me and others away for the number of treatments needed to see and expect any results at all.

As you see they still try to sell "me" on the treatments since 2004 which I still can't afford. We have new members joining each month that ask the questions about that treatment just as I did when I first joined stroke net. The bottom line is when we survive a stroke and paralyzed we want to get back to prestroke condition somehow.

Unfortunately when our brain cells die, for the most part, that's it unless we are truly blessed to fully recover totally.

Thanks Elondie,

I remembered a few members here had gotten the treatment and said it helped them, my only draw back was the price and uncertainty of the results for the money since each case is different. So I'm not knocking it.

I talked about this with my Mom's doctor after the stroke. In addition to the cost and unreliability of the results, he pointed out that it can be very dangerous for people with heart or lung issues. Since my Mom has both he said that it was far more likely to harm her than to help her. If you are considering it and have other health issues, you need to talk to your specialists about any potential dangers.
