My poor Mike! He loves his electric wheel chair but I am about to take it away from him!! He just can't seem to stop hurting himself with it! Today he went to the living room to retrieve his wallet from his vest that was on the back of a chair and in some freaky way he got the vest hung on the lever of the chair making it roll foward and smashed his already swollen and painful "bad foot" as he calls it into the wall crushing it between the foot rest and the wall. Luck was with us as it didn't cause any severe bleeding but it did take the top layer of skin off the top of his big toe, foot and heel. Now I can't tell if the swelling is normal or if it is from the accident. It's a good thing his nurse is coming to check his blood so I am gonna have her take a look at it to make sure there are no major issues. Think I will call the Scooter Store and ask them if they can disconnect the speed button so he can only go at a turtles pace! LOL!
