my question has always been what if dan has a seizure in the tub... well he did today not in bathwater but sitting there doing his compulsive cleaning...had to have ambulance come and do a safe transfer to get him out of the tub...then to the ER and overnight admit.... another day here in our household..nancyl

old place in the tub--- it was actually a pretty controlled seizure -- we got his oxygen to him right away and he came around fairly quick--- but he did/is spending the night in the hospital...dan is by his own request DNR at the hospital so if one comes that would require resusitation -- he is taken care of in terms of his wishes...

what is DNR?

Have you had a chance to move anything yet? I'm sweating bullets trying to remember the last time I went by the old house to pick up the junk mail. If the mailbox starts exploding, it will be obvious to any passerbys that the home is not being lived in.

Well good thing there was no bathwater. That must be one of the worst places to have a seizure, surrounded by hard surfaces. Glad he is okay.

Sandy: DNR means do not resuscitate.

So if he has a seizure at the hospital, they won't even give him oxygen if he is DNR? I thought it just meant they wouldn't do CPR or use the paddles or put in a trach.

resicitate means they will not do cpr or try to bring him back yes they would give oxy.... he gets out at 3 meanwhile the move is still going on as i only have help for limited amt of time so i gotta keep movin..he had a good night but is very very tired ----we are about three quarters done with the house and have not started on the farm stuff yet...

Going to try this. Honey, I am so sorry. I hope they ran a blood level on his seizure med to see if he is therapeutic yet. Please do go easy. You have an awful lot on your plate right now. Know I am thinking of and praying for you both.

all his levels were theraputic and no underlying infection as the blood tests go...............just another break through seizure and it just seems every two months --- ..and i am sure the move is contributing to him being stressed.... it is what it is... thanks everyone nancyl

My prayers for Dan to be stable and improved recovery. You were right to move closer to town and family and hospital. Take care.
