well today i got my blood transfussion---- i hope to have a little more energy.. i had no one available to watch dan for me so i brought him with.. no one minded ... and he pretty much snuggled down with his own little personal tv in a really nice recliner and slept.. i did a little reading... dan did have to use the bathroom so i unplugged my iv. and we got him into the wheelchair and went down the hall to the bathroom.. all went well. but the new shift ER doc who is familiar with us had a obvious look of confussion on his face as we waved to each other - he didnt come and talk as i knew the ER was busy had a life flight going on.. later the nurse told me he asked did he need to see one or both of us.. and he was relieved to hear neither of us were in need of emergency care.. he is a very nice man who if he see's us in the community will come and visit a few mins. ... so i finshed up my 2 units of blood and will await to see if i can get alittle boost of energy.. lots to do before our upcoming trip and i have waited for the transfussion to do much of the thinking and planning as i have been dumbed down by the anemia....so tomorrow if all goes ok i will start the process of thinking - which is far more difficult for me that one would think.... see ethyl ( debbie) i finally put myself first -sorta- nancyl

You better baby! I'd hate to have to get out the belt - LOL. Nancy, the next two days are crucial. You need rest, relaxation, nutrition. Give those nice healthy cells a chance to incorporate into your body and do their job. You did what had to be done, and I know that. But now let those little buggers do their job! That is what you paid for! Nancy, this is not a quick fix, a jump start. Protect them like they were your babies. Patience, care, tendering. You have been under the gun for way too long and your body told you that. The night I fell asleep on the dining room floor told me that.

It sometimes is great to be a Type A personality. I think you would agree that certainly got us to where we are. But we have to understand that even Type A's need a time out. Yours is now.

So glad everything went well. Funny about the Doc. Dan needs hunker down as well. That incision is still new. So a perfect time to find some good reading, call for take out and just hang out. Debbie

Nancy,

What a way to get needed energy. Please follow Debbie's advice. You need R & R. Let those cells do their job. But, they do need your help. Rest, nutrition and relaxation.

take it easy for a couple of days. You know that you are needed. Please take care of yourself. You are irreplaceable.

Nancy, I am glad you got the transfusion and hope it helps you to feel much better soon. You need to follow Debbie's instructions cuz you know you don't want her coming after you with that belt! LOL

Good for you lady I know you will always figure out what needs to be done and be on the job, my wife is the same way so I don't have to think of "What would I do." I hope this is the real deal and solves the problem for you!!!

I hope you are feeling stronger and brighter already. We need so much energy, and not having it just drains us dry. Praying that you are renewed and ready to go again.

Nancy, first of all, I wish I had your energy. You seem to do it all and run with whatever comes up. I imagine you in that black dress even, doing all the things you do. lol You are another one of our superwomen here!

Take care.

Julie
