Well another interesting day, brother an wife went home to CA .... Dan slept till 1 pm which is great .. He had his meds and said goodbyes... And back to sleep... Up at 1 out to a shopping mall I found sorta nice, my daughter had recommended it, didn't find much .. But the layout and accessibility was the best I have ever seen... Go figure in a retirement community LOL... but it was good..for me... Less good for Dan, we found a nice burger joint and Dan just kept sucking the pop down,, and yep later you know what happened... We went to four BR.. Which means I helped clean four public bathrooms... And we still ended up with a accident , but of course I am happy he is sorta hydrated soda isn't exactly the best but better than nothing, and it really is the only thing he will drink consistently... Coke -- no ice .. And he means no ice. LOL Colleen.. And he did get grumpy , embarrassed with the accident , so I ended up canceling on Sarah, from stroke net... But tomorrow is our day hopefully together and she can see I am not a flake , just a goof... Beth gets reminded nightly by all the family now about locking the door.... It was number one on my list of to do,s and don'ts for her but 16 yr olds sometimes ding, ding but I doubt she will forget again as freaked out as she got, when she realized it was not big sis checking up on her but some wierdo....... And if it is freaky condo guy no holding back, I will see he gets jail time if I can prove it is/ was him... Gut instinct says it was..... oh well enough about freaks and geeks... it has been nice being here , and the kids have a really nice place.. Very handicap accessible, but will need a few bars installed when we come back ... Otherwise perfect....and the weather , well with ND current temp. Almost anywhere beats it, but Dan insists he is ready to go home.... So on sat. We will and we will see what the world hands us next, will wait out the tax situation first.... ,nancyl

I can't imagine anyone coming into my house uninvited, even if we were yelling for help I'd expect a 911 call, maybe a knock on the door and that's it. Someone the next town over surprised a burglar the other day and got shot dead for doing so. A 20 year old with his life ahead of him, and the burglar is still on the loose. Your daughter was lucky there were no repercussions, if it happens again tell her to just play dead.

 

Ray is so obsessed about ice in his soda, three cubes exactly; at least he's not drinking his sugar straight. But he's so picky, which is why I should have understood about Dan's preferences. An ice cube=no way. What did I get him on the ferry (hot chocolate with whipped cream?) and he wouldn't touch it either. Ray and him were so similar in most ways, but next time I'll know better! At least Dan ate that black and white cookie, and the pistachio pie too. Won't worry so much about the food next time, nobody starved for sure!

Hey, I'm a no ice guy too it makes my head hurt. If you feel it's needed and I doubt it at his young age but I take prostate meds for that reason and my going to pee is real good for times and my sit downs are mornings and after I eat the evening meals thus no accidents lately!!

 

I'm in the Tax mode now but only so much a day or week I should be finished by April on Turbo Tax for the last few years. I pay so no hurry!!! My wife's mom passed in 2010 so I lost a dependent that hit us hard!! So it's just us two and she is still working at the bank and don't want to retire until she is at least 70 that's ten years from now!

 

I told her she'll be too old to draw Medicare. I think she feel like 50 in her short dress or skirts but that caught my eye first and she is very active which I feel that helped me recover a bit quicker!!

Hello Nancy, so please your daughter was so lucky, yes she has to lock all doors and windows. My daughter, used to go to the bank at night, she stopped when I told her a friend of ours friend, a cop, got shot at the atm. What a world we live in.

 

I love ice in my water, not allow any soda's . Was not a soda drinker any way. My treat is some water with lemon on the side LOL
