Had surgery - doing well, dan was worried - his caretaker brought him in to be with me, at that point he understood what was going on and he turned gray and got upset, ( but not in a loud way) - gave him a valium as i was being scooted out the door… and they brought him in the second i was out of recovery… he is happier now we are both tucked into bed -- dan is asleep but these pain meds aren't helping to much in terms of getting me to sleep , so i thought i would log on and say - i am fine …. if i am up to it i will try to be on caregiver chat tonight … thanks everyone...

I'm glad to hear you are doing well. I don't know what surgery you had, but I hope you will be stronger and feel better now :) I'm also glad to see that something about YOU registered with Dan!

i just had a endometrial oblation - they basically laser out the lining of my uterus to stop periods and the slow nosebleed ( lol- not a nosebleed) …. nancyl

Stay well Nancy. I hope you don't go jumping back to doing "everything" right away. I'm happy it went well.

woke up this morning ( day after surgery and felt good) went back to work - in all honesty - it was easier than staying home with Dan---- Dan was testing the newest girl hired -- i believe she passed - he had a shower yesterday morning but decided he wanted another today and made her give it to him.. although she was a little frantic ( this is only day 3 of her job) - she got him started and i got home from work to guide her through the rest…. geez - dan give it a rest already huh ??

Nancy - so glad you are feeling better and your recovery seems to be right on task. Caution tho! Nice and easy. Debbie

Glad you are doing okay....Give Dan a little time, before you know it he'll be waving you out the door so he can spend more time with his caregiver. Gary was very afraid for me to get out and about and leave his side when he would get a new caregiver, but didn't take long if he liked them to say, "goodbye, don't hurry back." lol
