cat bites and neuro

Saw the local Neuro today because this pain is too much. First thing he said was that I looked terrible.

Did a good exam and noticed the cat bites on my arm. They look worse because of the anticoagulants and I have had so many. The cat doesnt like me...actually goes out of her way to attack me at times.

He was very upset about the bites and made a deal to help me manage the pain IF I promised to call the PCP to make a visit.

Well, I called and asked for an antibiotic so I kinda kept my promise.

Have MRIs scheduled Wednesday and will call neuro Monday to talk about results.

Having so many docs makes things a bit more complicated.

I actually forgot about the local neuro til the pain was so bad....

He is really a great doc...thorough and caring.

I am so discouraged and it shows...he is so concerned about my being "depressed" but I really think that is nor,al with all that is happening...guess its the stigma thing...

Doubled neurontin and cymbalta and added lunesta...hope that helps...I really wanted narcotics even though I have taken to avoiding them in life being the other half of a drug addict.

I am mad at myself for not taking care of the bites sooner though...with this device in my heart I do need to address any infection right away...I know better and the neuro said as muich. Glad he knows me...I stay away from the hospital and docs as much as I can...I should KNOW better...God has been watching out for me...thats all I can say.

hey Mary :

I avoided taking anti depressant for long time thinking I m not coockoo, but when I took, it was world of difference, life wasn't drag anymore, I can seriously say depression was worst than my actual stroke. Things look way more darker than they were, so don't be afraid of taking them, I m on my path of getting rid of them

Mary that sounds like the cat from he%% ..Get a spray bottle of water and when kitty comes near give it a spray with the water... bop.gif

If you see your PCP, maybe they will give you an antibiotic and some mild pain pills to help until the antibiotic kicks in.

(How about getting a new home for monster kitty?)

God needs you to help watch for you also..don't put yourself in danger with infections. smile.gif
