These days are so hectic.

I saw the neurosurgeon last week. I will need surgery as soon as it can be scheduled. There is a reason for having so much pain and it is not all stroke pain! Thank God! All the added and increase in meds have not helped over the past few months and finally I got one of the neurologists to order MRIS. There is severe cord compression at 2 places. Good news for me, although having surgery is not a great thing, I may finally get some pain relief!

I am not sure yet when as I need to meet with an ortho surgeon as well. There will need to be 2 surgeons involved and bone grafting. I need to quit smoking as the bone grafts have a better chance of taking smokeless. Also waiting for holter monitor results. Other than that I am cleared for surgery.

Thats a tough one. Keep me in prayer for that.

In the meantime I am doing my best to be prepared for Christmas, although on a much lower scale than usual. Hard because I am a bit afraid of driving as I have had 2 pretty bad dizzy spells recently while driving.

I feel bad for the kids having surgery before Christmas but I have only minimal pain relief even with the narcotics the neurosurgeon added. It may be rough on them having me down nut I would rather be recovering post op that still in pain pre.
