Saying Good-Bye and Hello

Well it has been a week that's for sure.

Brown Sugar (14 year old baby/dog) got to the point in his illness that it was time to say good-bye. He fought a good fight the last three years but he could not do it anymore. We put he down Wed morning, with the Vet's blessing.

Our other Baby/dog Kahlua (4 1/2 years old) was moping and we thought a puppy would help, so Sat we got one. Fudge is about 11 weeks old and is full of energy. She is keeping me busy as she is not yet housetrained. Kahlua is a lot better now with Fudge in the house, so I think we made the right decision. It's been 14 years since we had to housetrain a puppy (Kahlua was housetrained for the most part when we got her). Boy is she keeping me busy! But that's good, I don't have time to sit and feel sorry for myself. I also find I am trying to use my left arm and hand more now, which is good. I am see improvement in my left arm, But not much of anything in the hand yet.

Well she is awake now so I got to go, more later.

I am sorry for your loss but glad you got new puppy which is keeping you busy and out of selfpity. keeping busy is key to stay away from depression.

Congrats on the new puppy!

I find you name choices interesting: Brown Sugar, Kahlua, Fudge. Were/are they all three brown? Why food?
